"I've been an artist as long as I can remember, even when I was too young to understand what it was like to be one. Since I was a little girl, I have been modeling, carving wooden figures, and drawing. This has influenced me today, and I gave myself the freedom not to be tied to one genre and direction in my adult and professional work. I work in painting and levkas, and for the last 5 years, I have been experimenting with new materials and directions: land art and small plastic.
I prefer color, shape, space, line, and contrasts over the subject. I try not to start from the subject but to move towards the image. In figurative painting, I work with my memories and experiences, all the subjects must be seen and lived by me. While in the plein air, I am interested in light and its physical structure.”
